Listing is incorrectly identified as Children's Supplies and we received a Product Compliance Request

Hello,

One of our products was classified in the Children's Supplies category by Amazon and so we're being asked to submit a Children's Product certificate. But this product is not for kids. It's a pencil pouch that also functions as a bookmark, and it's listed under the Office Supplies category.

We've tried to remove the request by writing an appeal but got the "image missing in DP" warning. The listing specifically says it's for adults and Jewish women.

We've reached out to Seller Support (14582665771) and they asked us to send an email to r*s*-s*m@amazon.com - we did but never got a reply.

We then tried to relist the product using a new barcode but again, we're being asked for compliance documents.

Please help!

"Seller Support" is misleading as it makes you believe you are speaking to expert sellers who know how to solve your issues...or "support" you.

All they are doing is reading the Amazon policy to you.

If you wish to take a more proactive approach in resolving your issue, I would suggest the following:

There is a trigger word in your listing.

For example:

I sell a children's book with a soundboard on it. If you sell books, Amazon would like you to go through Amazon KDP. However, my book has a soundboard which...Amazon KDP does not do.

I could not create a new listing with the correct category because Amazon kept reverting it back to the book category...meaning that my ads would not run unless I used Amazon KDP.

So I created a new listing but instead of using the words "Children's book" i used the words "Children's Soundboard Toy" (as its clear its a book in the images).

This resolved my problem completely and I was able to make a new listing with the correct category.

You can try to see if Seller Support will tell you what the keyword is.
