there is no way to confirm a business address for Ukraine
Hello,
I'm facing the following situation.
In early 2024, I registered as a seller on amazon.com. On April 26, 2024, I received a notification that my account is at risk of deactivation. The threat arose because Amazon couldn't verify my business address.
I reached out to the forum and found out that this issue affects all sellers based in Ukraine. Ukrainian sellers informed me that due to the war in Ukraine, postcards aren't being sent to Ukraine, which prevents me from receiving the verification code needed to verify my address.
On May 19, 2024, my account was blocked, halting all my sales and payments.
I tried to request a callback from support for a long time, and on May 21, 2024, I received a call from a support representative. During our conversation, the Amazon representative acknowledged the existing problem for Ukrainian sellers.
The Amazon representative assisted me in correcting the accuracy of my business address in real-time online because the transcription in the bank statement does not match the transcription displayed on Google Maps.
After our conversation, I received the following email:
"This is Nina, with Amazon Account Health Support. Thank you for speaking with me regarding your selling account. As discussed, I understand you needed assistance with the format of the address you were using in your account that was not recognized. We finally entered the right one, and now it is indicated that you will receive a postcard with a verification code at the address you have indicated, which may be a problem as you reside in Ukraine that is at war. I transferred your case to another team, and we will have more information on May 30. We thank Thank you for your patience. I'm glad I was able to help."
Today, on May 30, 2024, my account still has the status "deactivated."
The situation is absurd. Amazon cannot verify my business address, yet they do not send a postcard for verification to Ukraine.
This situation is even more alarming because I have sent a large batch of goods to my account.
Could someone advise on what to do in this situation?
Thank you in advance for your response.
