Listing without UPC, variation of another
I sell some hats that are infant/toddler. Making one listing is no issue, but when I try to make a variation or just add as another product (one listing for infant, one listing for Toddler) I can't of course because the UPC is the same. Without getting a GTIN (as I am not the brand owner). Anyone have ideas?

If you don't have a GS1 issued UPC for each variation, then you would need to try to apply for a GTIN exemption.

Good Afternoon @Seller_5cnQifPVFt1wZ,
As a general rule, each unique product manufactured and sold to consumers must have a unique trade item number (UPC, EAN, ISBN, or GTIN). If you believe your listing should be exempt from having a GTIN, like @Seller_f4a7xAPCCSMqD mentioned, you can follow the steps to applying listed here.
If you are selling the same hat but have different sizes or colors for it, it can be kept on one listing and you just add the child ASINs accordingly. You can learn more about variation relationships here.
