Wrong Return Code - How to Process Return?
Order was not automatically refunded upon first scan, so upon receipt of item today, how do I proceed?
Return was listed as "Product damaged, but shipping box OK", Buyer Comment: Not work.
Item is in perfect condition, never opened, seals are intact.
How should I proceed? Original order had free shipping, but the Return label cost me $13.32...... If I do a full refund, I can't file a SAFE-T claim, but if I don't refund promptly, I risk an A2Z. Advice, anyone?
@KJ_Amazon can you assist?

If it were me, Id refund in full and move on...not worth the buyer complaint risk, IMO.

You very thankfully press the "refund" button. Then go about your day extremely happy that you got back the product you shipped, and all you lost was the outbound and return shipping.

Did you find a good way to handle this situation? We had the same thing happen. Except we're out the item and the money now. Seems to be quite the hole in the process.
Blows my mind they want to 'track' returns and reasons and give all these fancy metrics, but then do nothing to correct anything. Most of the metrics Amazon seems to give are majorly flawed.
