Usually they do not, however sometimes they can keep the item and your money and in return the defect wont affect your ODR... Because amazon refuse to recharge the customer even if you are in the right!

Had three INR claims in the last week. All were sent 2nd parcels with RM through Amazon Buy Shipping. One was a double book order.
All three buyers were sent a copy of the RM scan showing date / time of delivery with a GPS drop pin of the address.
Two backed down but the double order opened A-Z & you guessed it Scamazon refunded them.
I wonder what they will come up with if it ever gets to the point where so many sellers get so Pi**ed Of* that there won't be enough sellers for there to even be a marketplace!
