Is shipping protection when purchasing through Amazon a scam?
In three days, I have had FOUR notifications from Amazon that they have refunded the customer. Upon looking at the tracking, it shows the packages left the carrier facility but then say "Unable to Deliver".
In all cases, I purchases shipping through Seller Central, shipped on time, scanned each item at the shipping facility and did everything I was supposed to do yet every Safety Claim I've submitted has been denied.
Now, I have attempted to contact one of the shippers which was UPS only to be told that they could not and would not do anything because I purchases shipping directly through Amazon. This is in direct conflict with what Amazon has told me which is that the shipper IS responsible, not them.
So I'm in a loop that does not have any way to resolve itself other than for me to accept this as yet ANOTHER fee for doing business on Amazon.
How on earth is this allowed? Is there something I am missing here? How can the seller be SO SCREWED? These four ordered in just THREE days amount to hundreds of dollars. I have experienced this many times and have just let it slide but at this point, I'm ANGRY.
Is there any possible way to protect myself from this other than NOT purchasing shipping through Amazon? It seems to me that they do everything in their power to get you to switch from FBM to FBA. I'm getting to really despise this company.
