Account deactivated amazon drop shipping violation policy

Hello Support Team.

I started with Amazon Canada Marketplace from last 3-4 months and delivered all the products from my account itself with 100% tracking details and all are delivered.

One product recently due to shortage issue, I ordered from Reseller and that is also I informed customer about the scenario but due to that one Order, my account now deactivated saying drop shipping policy violation.

I already explained all the details and action, I will take going forward but still Amazon rejected all my Appeal and finally I got below response before few days.

We reviewed your account and the information you provided, and we have decided that you may not sell seller-fulfilled offers on Amazon.ca. Funds may not be transferred to you but will stay in your account while we work with you to address this issue. This process usually takes about 60 days but could take longer.

I want to know what is the next process ? I need to wait for Amazon email? Please can someone assist ?

Thank You.

"One product recently due to shortage issue, I ordered from Reseller and that is also I informed customer about the scenario... "

Back several years you could have done that and probably gotten away with it.

If you spent any time on the Forum over the past year or more you would have seen dozens/hundreds of suspensions for doing this.

As a new seller with no 'goodwill' in the Amazon system (and an earlier suspension as well) you probably won't recover from this.

Hello @Seller_WEyLf80kP4x56,

I'm sorry that your Amazon.ca account has been deactivated due to a violation of the dropshipping policy. I understand this must be very frustrating, especially after you had explained the situation with transparency.

If you don't want to wait the 60 days or more, the next step should be to appeal this decision, providing more details about what happened.

Here are the information you should include in your next appeal:

Detail the root causes of the dropshipping policy violation:

  • Explain that the product in question was unavailable due to supply issues, so you needed to acquire it from a reseller to fulfill the customer's order.
  • Make it clear that you proactively informed the customer about this exceptional circumstance.

Detail the actions you have taken to comply with the dropshipping policy:

  • Demonstrate that you have a clear policy against dropshipping and that this was an isolated case, forced by circumstances beyond your control.
  • Explain that you always try to keep products in stock and ship directly to customers.

Detail the steps you have taken to prevent future violations of the dropshipping policy:

  • Describe the procedures you will implement to avoid relying on resellers, even in product shortage situations.
  • Assure Amazon that this was a unique incident and that you are committed to fully complying with their policies.

Attach evidences!

I hope this information is helpful in your next attempt to appeal Amazon's decision. Please let me know if you need any further assistance, we are here to help!

Best regards,

-Roxy
