Thinking of cancelling my account and not bothering with Amazon. It is actually possible to speak to a human?

Hi, I've spent two weeks getting products ready for Amazon going through the processes. Had to apply for approval for a category uploading photos. I then had an automated message saying no photos were added. Then attached them in the email (they were originally included in the application). Then I get this email. I think i'm at the point of just not bothering with Amazon anymore. Anyone else in a similar position or can convince me to try again? Is it possible to speak to a human

There are some (limited) scenarios where direct contact with a human is possible, but brand / category ungating isn't one of them.

I have been feeling the exact same.

I have been having account verifications issues for 2 months now, my account was working fine for 6 months previous, and now have been hit with a verification request that no matter how many times I submit the documents they come back the next day with “invalid document”

I have spoke to the help team on 6 different occasion and each time they have blatantly lied to me saying I will receive a call back the next day and also follow up emails. I haven’t received a single call back or follow up email.

Like I said before this has been going on for 2 months and I’m really struggling with even bothering with this platform anymore, to go from where I was when the account was live to where I am now is a monumental nose dive.

Thank you Amazon for being of no help.

If your account is new you might not get approved for grocery until you have sold other things and got a selling history

Hello @frazer

Selling on these type of categories... the process can be very frustrated we know, as per peer sellers mentioned, they have a very extensive investigation.

Our best advice for you is to review all the information and get all the certifications needed according to your products.

Food & Beverage

Categories and products that require approval

Hope you continue on this selling journey!

Any assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out to our support channel

Regards,

JiAlex

As an update, I resubmitted my request and asked in the response where I wasn't being compliant. After 24 hours the result was returned as approved. I've now successfully managed to list and sell on Amazon.

Hi,

I understand how frustrating this process can be, especially when you’ve put in so much effort. While Amazon’s automated system can be challenging, don’t give up yet!

Here’s what you can try:

1. Open a Case: Request a manual review and explain the issue. Reattach your documents and photos to ensure everything is clear.

2. Speak to Support: Use the Contact Us section in Seller Central or reach out to @AmazonHelp on Twitter for assistance.

3. Verify Requirements: Double-check if additional documents (like invoices or certifications) might help your application.

Don’t lose hope—many sellers face this hurdle but succeed after persistence. Good luck!

Best regards,
