Third party invisibility
Apologies if this has been covered before; I’ve used the search option but nothing is returned…
(So, now I’ve protected myself from the ire of the forum police)
Has anybody observed that on mobile, if Amazon sell an item, third party offers are now invisible? Not difficult to find, not hidden away somewhere, but actually invisible? I have just looked on my phone at the catalogue page for a book I have on order; it’s showing available from Amazon but nowhere is it possible to see third party offers. So I checked a couple of non-book items; same thing, if it’s available from Amazon there’s no way to see the third party offers (except, of course, if someone has created a fake duplicate…). This even appears to apply when the item is out of print, but Amazon still say “out of stock”; you can order it from Amazon, and they’ll “let you know when it’s available”, but you can’t see the 20 other sellers from whom you could get it in 3 days time…
As I say, I only spotted it this morning. Someone may tell me it’s been like that for a while.
Just gobsmacking.

This is new - and also is true on desktop - if you aren’t the cheapest (or buy box) or the next three offers, you’re no longer visible on the listing at all. Could someone at Amazon confirm if this is deliberate/permanent? With the number of Chinese sellers at stupid prices in toys, its impossible to get the buy box.

I have just noticed this on my laptop this morning and came here to see if there was any discussion about it. I thought I might be missing something.
If I remember correctly, my non book items had a link to all items listed in order of value, cheapest first. It now seems that only a few listings are listed on the main product page on the righthand side.

If I search as a buyer rather than through my inventory I see a different view. I can see more info, which is a relief.

if you log out of you account you can see all offer if you log in you only see the buy box offer. This make price checking very hard. I have opened a case up with amazon. I think everyone should. it must be a bug

Not just books. I’ve checked my listings for laptops this morning, the only options you can see are sold by Amazon or sellers which are fulfilled by prime. Not happy, massive drop in orders over the weekend

As a buyer and collector of video games this currently makes Amazon redundant for buying. If I want a complete game (Game with case and manual in very good/like new condition) quite often I have the scroll through quite a long list of sellers comments before I come across a game that meets my needs. Now I cannot. This is such a dumb move by Amazon. Lets hope this gets fixed ASAP.

I was checking that, logged or not logged, as a buyer or as a seller, you can’t see the “other sellers offers”
When you choose the price in buy box battle, this information is necessary.
The fastest way to find other offers is from Manage Inventory>>> click on lowest price for the reference you need to alter the price and it will give the other sellers list. Other way is to edit the refference, and on top right you have also how many offers, click on them will give you also the offer list.
Hope that it will help you, and this will be fixed soon.
As a buyer, i’m not always buy the lowest price available, there a things to be considerate, before i take the acquisition decision.

Glad this thread came up! So thanks, Grogan21.
I’d checked just before opening a case, and now found this link after opening my case.
I can confirm my items no longer show on the main pages on my desktop PC either with Google or Firefox.
I thought it might be part of the new deliberate policies of spacing out small individual sellers (like me), but some of you here must be businesses who pay monthly fees - they wouldn’t want to eliminate all these sellers, so that gives me hope that it may be just a glitch.
