Sales dropped 60% since May - buy box change?
We have been selling on Amazon for over 10 years now however since May we have seen a dramatic decrease in sales & cannot win the buy box very easily.
I am wondering if this is since the decision to change the way the buy box works by the CMA.
Is everyone else seeing a change if there is more than one seller on the ASINS?

My sales are down around 20% YOY and I don't share buy boxes.

Yes we have been impacted too, our sales are down around same amount. We are just not getting the buy box any more on certain items. We have changed nothing, all been working absolutely fine until beginning of May this year. I would love to know what happened and how we can overcome this challenge. Sales on other platforms and our web site are either unchanged or have increased.

Started for me early April. 60% down since then despite increasing PPC spend. I have been selling on Amazon for about 12 years. I do not share the buy box.
Thought it might have been caused by major change to Google search in April and or CMA requirements to change Amazon search.
Whatever caused it I can't improve my sales back to where they were. Not waving but drowning!

It is down for us too. Worryingly, it is all marketplaces including non-amazon.

We are the same sales down between 25% - 35%

Hi,
Agree 100% that the buy box change in response to the competitions authority ruling has caused issues, particularly for SFP. It actually seems even worse than previously. I've highlighted numerous examples on the complaints form to the independent adjudicator.
To me, Amazon appear to be favouring themselves based off their own subscribe and save pricing but also favouring FBA sellers over SFP even when my SFP pricing is 10% cheaper than the buybox on FBA.

For us, sales have been ok but our ad spend has sky rocketed since may. our ad conversion has gone from 15% to less than 5%. so we are spending 3x more to get the same sales.

First year for us selling on Amazon so hard to comment but on our other non Amazon marketplace we are down 20% and put this down to an uncertain economy, mortgage increases etc and political issues. I also think people have returned to the high street for physical shopping as online delivery costs have driven up online prices.

Turnover currently +81% YTD items sold +34% over same period last year with the same ASIN's

Many Traders are down and we're no different. You can tell how bad it is by some of our brand partners selling less than trade just to get some cash in. I can't ever see us doing the business like we used to and the money isn't out there and Amazon will always undercut you, even if they are losing money.
