Inbound Placement Fees and Fulfillment Discounts
Pulled this from Amazon - "Note: Starting April 15, 2024, on average, we will decrease FBA fulfillment fees for standard-size products by $0.20 per unit and for Large Bulky-size products by $0.61 per unit. This is the same date that the first inbound placement services fees will begin to be charged. For an overview of all 2024 US selling fee changes, go to amazon.com/selling-fee-changes."
What I'm seeing in my listings is a small number of items with a reduced fee but many items have had fulfillment fee increases along with the placement fee addition. Few questions - 1) if you choose Amazon optimized shipments do you get no discount on the fulfillment fees, and 2) where you find discrepancies with no discount what's the process for getting it fixed?

The inbound placement service fee breakdown can be viewed HERE. Amazon optimized shipments receive no fees. The reduction in fulfillment fees is not a discount, just a general decrease.
