Does this sound a bit odd?
Hi All
A buyer bought a book which I posted late July. Last week he opened a return & gave the reason as "Accidental order"
So whilst waiting for it back, I have now got a "Where's my stuff" email.
He says that he has not had it & that it is tagged as lost? tagged by who?
I have looked at the tracking ID & it has the - dash line which is becoming more common, when running it through RM Click & Drop it's the usual "Tracking will only be available when delivery is attempted" so looks like they never gate it a scan, which I understand Amazon are meant to honor?
It's not come back to me despite my address being on the label.
Just wondered what peoples thoughts are on this & any advice moving forwards, just tired of people having me over!
Regards
Ed

Sounds like he is after a freebie to be honest.
I have seen this pattern before where a buyer opens a return request hoping the seller will just refund. When the return request doesn't get refunded they then claim the item hasn't been received.
The fault here is both Amazon and RM.
Amazon for showing an item is lost when there is no delivery confirmation. I get several emails a week saying Amazon says it is lost and that I need to provide a refund.
Also RM for their appalling rate of items they don't scan on delivery. 30% of my items don't get a scan on delivery that really is not acceptable.

AMazon do send out emails where no tracking or tracking so no delivery sayimg your order is late and maybe lost I have one on my own buying account now and a email but l had it ages ago. As it goes on to tell you you like to claim a refund, its very tempting to do so. If you buy postage from Amazon then this sort of thing should not happen In your case the post delivery officer didn't scan on the doorstep and email about being lost soon follows as the other reply by @Seller_d8YGbIjNqwFxn says they after a freebie if they return it then they get a Refund at First Scan anyway assuming they return it @Seller_ZVAz3d5lZuGid what do you think

Hi,
We get these also and sadly it's possible that we all have dishonest buyers and looking to get freebies as it's made easy for them to do and get away with it.
Even though it's a bit of a faf we try and claim the postage back with Royal Mail.
We even had on one occasion a A to Z was granted in the favour of the buyer even though they were holding the parcel in the photo on the tracking.
