FedEx missed pick up from drop box, TWICE!

FedEx labels are competitively priced with UPS, which is great. On 2 separate occasions, I dropped my package off at a drop box location in town well before scheduled pick up time listed on the box. Both times I had to call FedEx the next day stating my package hasn't been picked up (no movement in tracking) and to request a pick up there. The agent said the driver should pick up every day there, but obviously doesn't. This is very stressful having to worry about a late metric hit which is not my fault. My experience with them is not good.

I understand the frustration with services outside of your control. There are things you can do to impact carrier services. You can schedule daily pickups at your place of business or make daily dropoffs to a hub, either will ensure your orders go out and arrive on time. This is why these late shipments will impact your account metrics as these areas are under your control.

I feel your pain. We had a trailer's worth of shipments sit in the FedEx Rialto, CA yard overnight because FedEx marked it wrong in their yard management system and thought the trailer was empty. 300+ Prime packages, all of which will be late. Somehow, this is our fault, per Amazon's policies.

Hey @Seller_FaV5Qh0z4BM3s,

Sorry to hear about this recent experience, I can understand the frustration it's caused. Have you seen any turnaround since you originally posted?

im going to try to say this as nice as possible

you might not be cut out for this

I would NEVER in a million years use the drop boxes

My business is run with a SOLID scan inside the store unfortunately. If they had scanners at the drop boxes I would obviously drop them there but we do not live in that world.

your not living in a reality and asking for problems

We had so many problems with FedEx drop boxes that we had to stop using them.

Had this happen once a couple of days ago for premium shipping orders that would no longer arrive on time due to Fedex somehow missing picking up the items until after final pickup (ironically, the counter clerk advised me to use their drop boxes after I went to the counter for drop off the day before).

Anyway, I showed my receipts and made it clear that they needed to fix their error and provide an upgrade in shipping services to guarantee delivery today. They eventually relented and the packages were delivered on time, but the tradeoff is now that I am at risk if any of those buyers claim INR despite package delivery, since the upgraded shipment labels are no longer through Amazon Buy Shipping. But better to get the orders delivered on time and take that risk than have angry customers during the holiday season.

Lesson learned though - never again on the drop boxes.
