0 of 947 Items Received in FBA Shipment

After years of reading about people losing entire shipments to the FBA blackhole, it has finally happened to me.

I sent in a small parcel with 947 items in mid July, I have been waiting for the items to be recieved into my inventory for over 6 weeks and now it says that I sent 0 of the 947 items, with total retail value of around 10k (which may seem small to many sellers, but I am a 1 man owned and operated business). I have been sending stuff into FBA for nearly 10 years without much issue, outside of the occasional Amazon saying I did not send in an item or two, which is always send everything in. UPS's weight measurements while in transit would easily prove to Amazon that I sent in more than a cardboard box, but I know that they will never admit they somehow lost like 25 pounds of items.

On top of that, I paid the bs $285.30 for the inbound placement service fees and $15.50 for the shipping cost.

Seriously, HOW DOES THIS HAPPEN? I joked before that Amazon employees must be tripping over loose products that they lost all over the floor.... but this is ridiculous.

Also funny, the shipments states:

"Shipment-level defects - No shipment-level defects to resolve.

Box-level defects - No box-level defects to resolve.

Product-level defects - No product-level defects to resolve."

If any mod is able to look into this, it would be appreciated:

I have the issue with lost items more often. Every 3-4 months may be they loosing a box with my items. I sell Sterling Silver items and this is probably a course of repetitive issues. Newer recovered my shipments. Because of that I send in a small boxes not more of $1000 value of inventory.

Now I opened a case 3 days ago - they lost 70 items. Box came with 0 items in it. I am sure they will not look into my problem. Even with all video records on receiving stations and known time of this box been scanned, they will not look for my items. Items definitely been stolen. And with all that records they can find who stole it. BUT! They have no profit for doing extra work.

But funny thing they ask for proof of ownership as it will help them to locate lost items in their warehouse. Actually it is Amazon FBA must give us the documents - proof (video) the box was empty and signature of employee who opened it and stating it was empty. Then I will believe it (may be).

I hope things will turn out fine. for you.

See, that is what I want. I KNOW Amazon has a redundant number of cameras at their facilities. They should have to prove to us with footage that our shipment was empty. They have that footage.

I feel your pain. This seems to be happening with an alarmingly increasing frequency.

I have had more than 15 shipments supposedly arrive with 0 units or missing a substantial quantity in the last 6-8 weeks. Way more than the last 2 years combined. So far I have been able to get some reimbursement from Amazon for them, though it barely covers my cost. And i still have still have 6 open.

Wishing you success in recovering your units!

We are dealing with a similar issue. We shipped a pallet of product in through a Amazon Partnered Carrier, 2 boxes scanned in then nothing on the remaining. Provided Seller Support proof of ownership, delivery and included Seller Support correspondence that stated a) they received the shipment and b) there was an internal Amazon system error associated with this order. We haven't been denied a claim but we have been denied our request for Amazon to conduct an investigation which makes little sense.

Best.

We've had this happen more and more as of late too but less than 1% of the time. I had a 44 item $4k box delivered but nothing checked in. 190 unit sent and 120 checked in. A 150 delivered $3k box but 0 checked in. I hope one day when my units are found, they make it to my inventory and not some liquidation pallet for sale.

I've had several shipment get checked in saying there was roughly or exactly 2x of everything. Closed, confirmed, no problems. We have over 1000 items in our inventory that definitely don't exist. I guess they'll figure it out when it sells

They will take it all if you can not provide invoices for every unit and then good luck of the invoiced being in right format for the bots to understand this is why FBA is like dealing with the Devil just be prepared to get burned!

My guess is that Amazon's underpaid, overworked warehouse and shipping staff has been massively grabbing valuables to sell elsewhere in assorted creative ways. While I'm sure some internal investigations and firings are happening, the LAST thing Amazon wants to do is admit the gravity of the situation.

Thanks for taking the time to create this post, and apologies for the frustration this has caused. Allow me some time to research the case number you provided, as well as the shipment ID to determine if there are options to escalate the issues internally. I will return here with an update as soon as I have one.
