New Seller Incentive 1 Year Period

Hi, I am a new seller and created my first listing in January 2024 but I did not have any inventory until April 2024. I guess I was trying to be proactive and make sure I knew how everything worked and work on creating the best listing I could for when my product was live. I didn't think this would do any harm but now looking at my new seller incentives dashboard it seems that I missed out on those incentives for that 3 month period where I had a listing that wasn't buyable and my incentives are set to expire in January 2025.

According to this new seller incentives pdf " New sellers starting in 2024 — Seller must have listed first buyable ASIN (NA, EU, JP store) on or after March 1, 2024 (Pacific time)1"

I read that as the listing must be buyable to be enrolled in the program. Since it wasn't buyable until April I don't know how my incentives started prior to meeting all the requirements.

Since the item was "listed" in january before the cutoff for the 2024 incentives I also looked at the 2023 incentives and it has the same conditions for being eligible. "New sellers on the Professional selling plan whose first buyable ASIN was listed in the US on or after January 1, 2022, and who take specific actions as described below are eligible to receive New Seller Incentives benefits."

I created a case and was told that the only thing that mattered was the listing date, which isn't what these documents are saying.

So, I am wondering if anyone else has had this problem or if there is a moderator who can help me. Am I really just forced to miss out on 1/4 of my incentives for an inactive listing?

Hello there @Seller_WKAU6EJKSp5Ws

My name is CR and wanted to hop in here to see if I could gather some more information from you here.

From the above, it sounds like you may have opened a case with Seller Support on this. Would you mind sharing the case # that you have for that and I'd be happy to take a further look there.
