Brands that you have been approved to sell randomly hard gating, unable to sell now

I am recently experiencing a situation where I purchase hundreds of units of a product that I HAVE PREVIOUSLY BEEN APPROVED TO SELL and I wake up today and now the brand is hard gated. Not only do I have thousands of dollars of inventory stock in my prep center but I also have hundreds of units already uploaded & shipped and currently inbound to FBA FC and now those listings are marked inactive because I do not have approval to sell. Is there any resolution for this? This is crippling to my selling business and will cost me nearly $10,000 instantly. This is not a regate specific to my account but rather a hardgate across the board. I asked other sellers I know and they are also gated in this brand. Please help.

You are mistaking Amazon approving you to sell with the actual brand allowing/authorizing you to sell their product. Just because Amazon said OK, does not mean the brand is allowing 3rd party sellers.

If you can get the brand to add you to their brand registry, it will solve the problem. Otherwise, there is not much you can do. Even if you are currently selling a product with that brand, Amazon will shut the listing down. It doesn't just apply to new listings, it applies to active listings.

I'm sorry you are having a hard time with this Brand requiring approval and not currently accepting applications. . As our catalog grows, we continuously make new determinations for which products should be restricted based on a number of factors. Even if you were selling your product before, you may be subject to new restrictions for the following reasons:

  • We have placed new restrictions on existing products that may require you to apply for approval. In some instances, we may not accept applications for review.
  • You have received a performance notification related to your product and are required to provide additional information before you can sell it again. You can view these notifications through your Performance Notifications or your Account health page.

If you provide your most recent appeal or case on this issue I can review and see if there are any other options I can provide. thank you for your understanding.
