FBA Shipment Missing Inventory

I sent two boxes of replenishment to Amazon. One ASIN was in one box, one ASIN in another. Both boxes arrived at the warehouse as per the tracking, but only one box's contents has been checked in. This shipment has now closed, with 0 units of the other ASIN being not found and labelled "Investigation completed – shipment contents counted and confirmed".

What do I do from here? Amazon support are being very generic as usual and not able to tell me why this has happened.

I literally experiecned this 2 days ago myself. I had asked to escalate the matter after they said nothing can be done.

If you have exhausted all avenues, perhaps try contacting the exec team:

We have had the same with 2 separate shipments, both say zero items were received and shipment contents were counted and confirmed.

The boxes were tracked as received and the courier shows the correct shipping weight but they are saying that the boxes arrived completely empty

This was weeks ago now and every time I contact SS they respond the investigation is still ongoing.

No point in contacting the MD it makes no difference.

Hundreds of pounds of stock has just disappeared and nothing is being done about it.

I don't trust sending any more items to FBA.

They've done something similar to us and just send the same lie back each time!

We sent a shipment of 600 units, which is 11 pallets of stock (our items are very large). The shipment showed 0 checked in, which we raised an investigation for. They closed the investigation and after said the 72 were lost which they reimbursed us for. Then they said 528 extra units were received on a separate shipment from 18 months ago, so they've offset these units against that!!!

Note: the shipment they're claiming we sent the extra 528 units never showed this!! There's a discrepancy of -1 unit for a different SKU on that shipment, that's all!

We sent proof of delivery for the original shipment, which actually showed a photo the 11 pallets and proof of these signed for, so god knows how they "lost" them. I suspect it's a system error. I wish they would just own up and reimburse us for the 600 units. It's a high value and as a result this item ended up temporarily out of stock!

The most frustrating thing is that Amazon do not acknowledge your messages and just send exactly the same generic reply back!! How do you actually escalate it to a higher level?!

Good luck, I hope your issue gets resolved and they reimburse you.

Same happened to me recently. I bet all this stock ends up in those Amazon 'clearance/returns' pallets they sell off :o(

Amazon have two types of customers, us sellers and the buyers but only the buyers get unconditional customer support while we are left high, dry and out of pocket with no explanation. Things will only change when Amazon lose too many of us sellers who have had enough.

Seems to happen to us on at least 1 box out of 3 sent. Usually 1-3 items missing on a box of 120-240 items and unable to dispute.

Also more recently the one's I could dispute have been turned down as they won't accept the invoices supplied even from one of the biggest suppliers in the UK and who also supply amazon. Seller support even had the cheek to accuse me a changing invoices when invoices were exactly as emailed by supplier in PDF format.

Hardly any of the items ever get returned back to inventory and those that do can be used to cover losses from FBA sales that customers claim were never received.

It never used to be like this and I imagine it will only get worse towards xmas.

I suppose prices will need to go up to cover these losses.
