Deactivated items due to WEEE required incorrectly applied
I have three of my best selling items deactivated by Amazon Germany.
They say I need a WEEE number on the items.
WEEE is for electronic, electrical items.
My items have no electronic or electrical parts, it is small pots of craft paint.
I have opened a case about it with Amazon but all I get back is generic replies that have no relevance to the problem that they have incorrectly applied the deactivation.
I have replied 6 times on the case and nobody is understanding what I am wanting. Looks like they have not even read what I have put considering what the replies have been and how to fix it.
How do I escalate this to somebody that will actually read the problem and reply in respect to the problem not just reply with a irrelevant cut and paste reply

Hi @ Kilabitzzz_Ltd1,
Thank you for your reply!
As per communication, which you have received yesterday:
“It may take up to 2 business days for the results to take effect on the EPR Compliance Portal”.
Please check your listings tomorrow in the afternoon and come back with the update.
Thanks,
Julia.

I assume a bot has picked up some of your product titles?

I am having the same problem now. Lots of products being removed that shouldn’t be. I have opened cases and I am getting replies telling me the item is live and link to the UK listing.
I can’t even get them to accept that the line has been removed IN GERMANY.
They just keep replying and send me pictures of the UK.

Amazon have still not reactivated our listings or responded to our case. The products they removed are Nose Pads for glasses. How is this a WEEE product? There is nothing in the listing that would suggest it has a battery. We have had no help and no answers from Seller Support.
@Julia_Amazon can you please advise on this?

All we received is this
They are not electrical products so there is no documentation we can send
"Thank you for contacting us.
Due to the increased of contacts concerning number of WEEE-Reg.-Nr. submissions we are currently receiving, it may take longer than usual to validate your submission.
Please do not resubmit your WEEE-Reg.-Nr. as this may cause the validation process to be reset.
Thank you for your patience.
Freundliche Grüße "

I had the same issue with sunglasses, believe it or not.
As others have said it’s probably Amazon’s system picking up a keyword either in your title or additional keywords that is somehow related to electrical goods.
You can appeal it, I did and managed to get my products re-activated. The process takes a while because they are snowed under with sellers having the same issue.

Hello @ Kilabitzzz_Ltd1,
Hope you are doing well
I just received confirmation of the re-categorization and reinstatement of your 3 ASINs.
Could you please confirm from your end?
Bests,
Julia.

Hi, I have the same issue, We applied for German VAT to store our goods in Amazon Germany, which we got last month, but all our primary listings are deactivated now despite no batteries being used in all items. I have sent many messages and gotten the same reply that the internal team is looking into the matter. We spent money and time getting our German VAT and are concerned now.
