Account banned for multiple seller accounts

My Amazon seller account got flagged and linked to another account that I actually recognize, I actually know the person who owns it. But to be clear, our accounts are completely separate and unrelated. The only connection is that over a year and a half ago (I think sometime between January - March 2024), I logged into my own Amazon account using his computer just to check on my orders while I was visiting.

Since then, Amazon has been denying all my appeals saying that “the timeline of activities and how the accounts were connected was unclear.” I already submitted a detailed explanation saying that this was a one-time login, gave a rough date range, and explained that our businesses are run independently with no shared operations, banking, or anything like that.

To make things harder, Amazon support told me to “troubleshoot” the computer I used but that device is long gone. Neither I nor the person who owned it has access to it anymore. They are continuing to say that there is still some signals that are actively linking the accounts, however both accounts have been banned for months, and there have been no crossovers since that one login. Any help on this matter is greatly appreciated.

"The only connection is that over a year and a half ago (I think sometime between January - March 2024), I logged into my own Amazon account using his computer just to check on my orders while I was visiting."

Once is enough for Amazon.

" however both accounts have been banned for months, and there have been no crossovers since that one login. "

Is the other account suspended for being linked to yours as well? Were you both selling items in the same categories?

If the other account is suspended for a different reason -- policy violations -- and you were selling in the same categories, it is going to be EXTREMELY difficult to overcome.

If you have opened any cases provide a number so any MOD that happens to drop by can look it over to see if they can help.

Without a case number in the posts it wastes time for everyone. I no longer tag anyone if there is no case #.

They have to ask for it and then wait for a reply from the poster and then the poster has to wait again for the MOD to find the case, and then more waiting.…

I do appreciate you sharing this information and acknowledging you are aware of the other store. As you mentioned, this situation occurred due to checking orders while visiting this individual. Since you were checking your selling account, it likely created a connection at that time. If this other store was already deactivated or was deactivated later, it could affect your store.

The concern here is that an explanation by itself will not be verifiable. These situations will require information or documentation that validates several points including proof on why this occurred, and proof that you are no longer associated to this individual. Can you share what information you've provided to address this? We most commonly accept contracts, termination agreements, bill of sale, and transfer of ownership. Similar documents can be accepted but would need to directly address separation, or the original connection. You can see more on this through our seller university video on how to address a multiple account policy violation.

As a note, some unique situations will allow the acceptance of an affidavit but be aware, these will never be accepted by themselves. Affidavit could be utilized in place of partial evidence such as contracts but no termination agreement. As mentioned above I am interested in how you've attempted to address the situation thus far.

If there are any concerns with the information provided, it may not be accepted. If you encounter a situation where these documents are not being accepted, you will still have one additional path forward. We will require that the associated store recovers from their account deactivation. Once that is completed, you can acknowledge the violation and that the associated store was since reinstated. If the requested documentation can not be verified and the associate store remains deactivated, this store will remain deactivated. Have you had communication with the owner of this other store, if so have you communicated on why their account was deactivated? Have they attempted to address their situation to resolve this violation?

I look forward to what additional information you are able to share or provide. The forums community and I are here to support you. Please let us know how we can help you from this point forward.

Emet.
