Can someone help me understand inbound FTL/LTL tracking

It is common for me to send in a few pallets a week. The tracking information is consistantly....well....not applicable to my shipment. I consistantly see customs and port activity but my shipments are domestic and the destination is not a port......Maybe someone here knows whats up?

I am from Puerto Rico and get this all the time when shipping inventory.

I also get insane emails from Amazon claiming that I "activated a new warehouse" or "made my first B2B sale"...which prompts me to double check exactly what is going only to find out that nothing is going on in the account.

I would assume that something silly is happening with you as well. But I would also assume that it does not involve any action on your part.

If I had to guess, I would say that your LTL shipment is being grouped with other shipments arriving via a port in the United States, and the worker is scanning your inventory in which shows in tracking as "Vessel arrived at destination port" even though your shipment is domestic.

Hi @Seller_Qbd0RsfZFEZBY, & @Seller_NbYSGJ8Tehgbv,

Dominic from Amazon here, would like to try to help. When shipping are you providing both pieces of information below?

  • The carrier's pro-reference number
  • The Bill of Lading (BOL) number referenced on your shipment's paper or electronic BOL

Best,

Dominic
