Brand Registy, A+ Content and 'taking ownership' of goods already on Amazon

Hi

We are a brand owner, that is registered in Brand registry. We would like to claim ownership of the listings currently on Amazon. Since 2014, we have been in business, offering our goods to businesses all around the world. We want to build a brand shop and use our A+ content for all listings, along with accurate descriptions, specifications, etc. Currently, we don't want to sell directly and are simply concerned with how our brand is presented correctly. We need some direction on how to go about this. Or even whether it would be possible.

Kindest regards

Paul

To be fair, I am not completely sure on this, however, I can give you the viewpoint from what we do.

Listings listed under our brand gives us control of the listing providing we have added that listing, whether that be creating the listing ourselves or adding it via the GTIN/ASIN if already listed on Amazon. We can then correct most details, though this can be hit or miss with Amazon, we often have to do a file upload of the listings as "Partial Update" that fixes most inaccuracies, in extreme cases we have to do a file upload with "Update" using the GTIN to essentially overwrite existing inaccurate details.

This also allows you to update most of the images on listings under our brand, I say "most" because Amazon's system is a bit of pain in the backside and doesn't seem to understand that the brand most definitely knows best on what images are accurate to the product, so when incorrect images are stubborn, we occasionally have to issue image removals through support, which is a painful process.

You can also issue infringement claims against sellers on your listings or other listings that are infringing on your trademark, however, I would advise that you do a test buy first unless you are 100% confident that they are infringing and will not challenge it. Project Zero is amazing for sorting this stuff out quickly, just be weary of incorrect claims, these can end in Amazon putting restrictions on your ability to raise claims using this.

All good so far really, right? Well, apart from this bit.

Listings with incorrect brands. I sure dislike Amazon on this one.

If a listing has been created using your GTIN to list under a different brand, you can be absolutely assured that Amazon support will not help you in the slightest with this. You have more chance of drawing blood from a stone. This is where Amazon fails completely in the brand department. You can provide all the proof in the world and they will not care or do anything about it. It is infuriating and quite disgraceful how they respond to brand issues like this
