BEWARE SSA Standard Settings Automation - its a setting in shipping says NEW - we have been shipping 100s of packages a week for over 16 years so we are not newbies, we reviewed what was listed under the policy, it claimed to help the customer. We clicked on the policy and withing 10 minutes we had three Next Day Air orders with free shipping given to the customers - We never had that as our settings for any free shipping, the message said nothing about changing our prices we offer for shipping - So Beware

According to the Shipping Settings Automation (SSA) page, this is a feature on the shipping templates that automatically calculates more accurate delivery dates for the customers.
Enabling SSA will set automated transit times that reflect carrier's actual delivery capabilities for the shipping services you already use, thus avoiding manual transit time calculation efforts. It will also let you provide customers with more accurate delivery promises, which will increase the likelihood of them making a purchase and helping you to be featured more frequently.

I had the exact same experience this weekend when I enabled SSA, I didn't put that I used 2nd day or Overnight services but yet I have MULTIPLE orders were I needed to have an order to New York the next day and I am on the west coast. I removed it from all my items. I found this in the FAQs which seems to be NOT TRUE @Nikki_Amazon how do we get this corrected because it seems there is an issue.
Will enabling SSA unexpectedly increase my shipping costs?
No. Enabling SSA should not increase your costs unexpectedly and does not require you to use faster ship methods because it applies the carrier transit time based on the shipping service you specified and the rules you prioritized.
