I'm looking for some information, and not finding it. TIA

I've contacted CS, but could not understand the answer they provided (and to be honest he sounded a bit fed up with me that i did not understand.)

I'm a UK seller. I resell goods, so rely on listings from the brands I sell, and as such have a few competitors.

I price item 'A' at 24.95. (free postage) [This is about the same price for all of us. ]

I got an order for item 'A' yesterday for 22.95. My item is not on sale/was not on sale. My item is still set at 24.95 (no automatic repricing enrolled/setup)

CS say that i sold my item for 22.95 (and received 22.95) because the buy box offer was 22.95 [as a competitor placed their stock on sale]

CS say This is how the buy box works??!!!

Is this true? I thought that I set my own price, and if I WON the buy box that I would sell my item at my price, and not force my price onto other sellers! [winning the buy box isn't always in my strategy, depending on item/seasonal sales]

I've not noticed this ever happen before
