Can anyone give me some guidance before I waste hours only to be told it's not correct.
I am getting a new range in with various designs, however they share the same barcode, I don't want to list them as variations as there are sub-categories for them. Can someone guide me in the right direction in plain English please.

They are variations, so each needs its own bar code, regardless of whether you want to list them as variations or not.
Eg you sell white mugs with 12 different slogans. You need 12 different barcodes.
the only example I’ve seen of different products having the same barcode is where you have hot wheels cars in blister packs so you don’t know the car you are getting. If this is the case the listing tends to be that it’s a blister pack with contents from one of the selected items
Other than that I don’t see how items that are different can have the same barcode.
