5461 Error
We are new to Amazon. Brand owner and have been selling succesuccessfully oon other platforms. We realized that we were getting sales from drop shiipers that must have been utilizing Amazon to make a profit buying from us. So why not sell on Amazon our own products.
When encountered the 5461 error we opened a case and were repeatedly told to apply again for Brand catalog authorization. Even though this seemed wrong since it was showing approved we did so and it was denied because approval already existed.
Still no resolution to why we continue to get this error with Brand approval in place.
Is it possibly due to an inventory cap on newer sellers (which they could explain but haven't)?
Any help navigating this would be great!

I am also getting Brand authorization error for an already approved brand. Its a system error Amazon needs to fix. I have also opened a ticket but no resolution yet.

It is true that certain products, brands, or categories can require approval to sell in, and sometimes multiple approvals are needed, like approval to sell in the category, and authorization from the brand. Any error code really means list elsewhere don't even bother wasting your time seller support is worthless in helping with the issue they wll tell you 10 different things.

Exactly why we gave up listing items on Amazon if an item is older and not on Amazon more than likely listing was sabotaged and removed from Amazon it is best to just move on to different product.

This happens every year. Ive been selling on Amazon for 4 years now and every year I have to resubmit brand authorization. You just need to send in Photos of your product along with packaging that shows your brand name and within a few hours it will be approved.
