Chargeback claim reopened and buyer won
Amazon has once again failed to protect us sellers.
Customer placed an order on August 30 and the item was delivered on September 1st which met the promise delivery date. The item was marked delivered and signed for “signature matched buyers name” .Item was also delivered to the correct address as per the tracking.
1 month later on September 29, 2023 the customer opens a chargeback claim for an unknown reason and I provide all the documents and information that was requested.
I provided proof of delivery with the picture of the signature.
Within a week, Amazon sided with me the seller and closed the case and favored me, I won the claim.
on October 15 the customer decided to reopen the chargeback and I once again provide the same evidence I provided the first time. I provided what was requested.
Today, October 27 I receive an email saying the claim was reversed and resolved in favor of the customer by the card issuer.
A couple things to note here.
1. Customer NEVER contacted me
2. I bought the label through the “Buy Shipping” button on Amazon.
3. I required signature and declared a value on the package of $2200 which was the total items value.
4. The item was shipped on the “ship by date” and was delivered on time.
I did everything that Amazon wants us seller to do but they have failed me.
I lost $2200 all because Amazon does not protect us sellers!!!
This infuriates me and I am at a loss of words because I or no other seller deserves this!!!
This is going to financially hurt me, $2200 is a lot!!!!
Please help me!
I am thinking of taking legal action at this point because this is unacceptable.
Us sellers on Amazon always get the kick out the door!

The same thing just happened to me, I win the first chargeback, the second, no notification, the two of the shows that I'm not responsible for the chargeback them months later suddenly I'm responsible and amazon charged me. HOWEVER I discover amozon it's the reason for that, they sent me by mistake the email they send to the customer that make a re-dispute an literaly tell them "To correct this problem, we have asked your card issuer to close the dispute in your favor." This is the representation amazon is giving to the seller and there's no way to appeal it. The customer get the Item free and a full refund. This is fraud!

I am sorry to learn of this situation with a chargeback. I am going to review the related order. If I have any new information to share with you, I will do so here.
