To anyone who says Amazon does not "throttle" sellers - wake up! Look at the evidence!
I currently have over 700 SKU's active. They have been repriced over 21,000 times in the past 24 hours. Can you imagine the odds of ending each day at almost EXACTLY the same sales revenue (see picture attached for my December month-to-date). We are talking INFINITE combinations of SKU x $price to arrive at less than 1% variation of sales revenue from day-to-day... Ask ChatGPT - this is an IMPOSSIBLE outcome unless Amazon is controlling sales flow.
To be clear, the 1 "outlier" day was Cyber Monday - which again came to an EXACT round number!
Take a look!

I have been watching Ebay doing similar manipulations. It's like they are trying to spread the sales around equally. Something like DEI for sellers

Awesome data!
The mod in here claiming they don't throttle after you show proof of a statistical impossibility is hilarious!
FTC is calling! (Your states AG would probably be interested in seeing this!)

Experiencing the same situation. No matter what im doing, increasing my PPC budgets, doing SEO and marketing, re-pricing, etc. - it does not reflects on my sales at all as it was 2+ years ago. I have stady average number of sales per week/mounth and quite often, as some1 already mentioned - there are situations where my SKUs not having sales for days, but all of a sudden 3-5-7 orders coming in just 30-60 mins in one day. Thats kinda strange and obvious.

Can you show us the last 30 days or even the past 12 months? A 5-day sample isn’t an accurate picture. Do you average $10K a day? $2K? The higher your sales and the more SKUs you have, the less variation you’ll see in daily revenue (unless you’re adding or removing SKUs)
The reality is, the more SKUs you have, the more consistent your sales will be anyway, which can actually help with growth. On the opposite end you could also see huge spikes down. That said, Amazon prob throttling. lol

One thing sellers can do as we have done is we now spend ZERO dollars on Amazon for items for business or personal use , we also eliminated our PRIME membership and discourage all family members, retail customers and employees with all the horror stories from Amazon because the only thing Amazon cares about is $$$ and until they need $$$ they will continue as is. Yall should watch NETFLIX Buy Now documentary it open your eyes up even more to what Amazon is really doing.

Hi everyone I selling in USA on non resident LLC having virtual address of amazon demand us to submit utility bill then how I will provide bill on virtual address.

You are absolutely right! I have spotted exactly the same, however I do have a lot less SKUs. But always come around the same amount.

This happens because Amazon has pimped out US buyers to the Chinese. Amazon skews the algorithms and search functions to favor china-based sellers and allow them to manipulate the platform with impunity by taking over listings, paying for reviews, illegally reporting legitimate US based sellers for infringement and a whole slew of black hat tactics US sellers would be immediately terminated for. God Bless America.

I think they rotate products ranking once an account reach a certain daily sales number. So it is not really sales throttling, more like product ranking rotation at the top of the page to give a chance to other brands to be seen by customers.
But they still leave the reviews counter at some ridiculous number for the older products (10,000 ratings...), which in the end prevents customers product discovery in many categories. Brands discovery is almost null in Amazon, customers search for keywords not brands and the only way to give some visibility to other brands is to rotate the first page ranking.

as much as I hate to be the one to side with Amazon on anything, I highly doubt the company itself would ever throttle-down a sellers offers for any reason other than account related issues with that seller. Think about it, Amazon only makes money if and when we list/sell items. So it would not be to their benefit to stop us from making sales as they also benefit from those sales. I would think a competitor selling similar items as you, might be the one to blame for any back-end shady behaviors that result in your seemingly daily capped sales.

Amz defintely throtles sales. We travel a lot as book dealers. Often, when on the road, we find that some of our listings are not showing. Amz takes fees and in return offers no explanation - not even a hint - as to why listings will show up in one state, yet disappear in another.
