Amazon Partnered Carrier - Do I need to hire a customs agent?

Hi. New seller on Amazon and I&#39;m trying to send my first shipment from China to the US. I understand that there will be customs duties for the shipment, however, it&#39;s so unclear whether the Partnered Carrier is going to act as the customs agent or if I need to hire one myself? Is this considered to be DDP, or is it something else?THanks
