BUYERS RETURNING EMPTY ENVELOPES
We had SEVERAL returns within a months time where the buyers returned an empty envelope or toys/notebooks when a mechanics tool was what was purchased. I had filed a Safe T Claim on 2 orders where empty small envelopes were returned when the customer purchased a filter drier that was in a larger size box. 2 claims same product, same issue(empty envelope) one Safe T Claim was granted the other was denied.. Amazon telling me to charge a restocking fee but Amazon already refunded the customer

I saw one on Amazon where they send the old worn out boots back. Different brand & different size. Nice to see Amazon giving a full refund to criminals.

We've encountered a similar issue recently. A customer ordered a 50 lb. bag of sand and soon after initiated a return, citing an "inaccurate website description" as the reason. However, what we received back was a small envelope—just large enough to fit the return label—with a 30 lb. weight and inside there were a handful of Valentine’s Day cards. Amusing, but clearly fraudulent. We ended up issuing a partial refund using the "materially different" option (which which we chose the 100% option), after submitting photo evidence of the fraudulent return. While it required some extra steps, providing that documentation was well worth it to avoid rewarding criminal behavior.

@Seller_qWWdh8xcYuloC- Hi there, can you please share the Order Id, Safe T claim ID and photos related to the case? I am collecting this for our investigations team. Thank you for coming to the forums to report!

If a buyer knowingly deceives Amazon, or an Amazon seller, by sending back an item that is not the original product, it shows fraudulent intent and is considered mail fraud (18 U.S. code 1341).
