Need Help Updating Brand Name on a Product Listing

Hello Amazon Handmade Seller Community,

I'm reaching out for guidance on how to update the brand name on one of our bestselling product listings under the Amazon Handmade category. When we initially listed our product, we had not completed the brand registry process and marked the product as "brandless." The product is now listed under "Handmade" instead of our registered brand name, WoodnChic Co.

We are eager to update this to our official brand name for several important reasons:

1. To take advantage of Amazon Attribution and similar marketing campaign benefits.

2. To maintain the substantial positive reviews we have received under our brand name, enhancing brand credibility.

3. To leverage the audience we’ve built around this product, which is our top seller, for better targeted promotions and brand recognition.

Could anyone guide us through the process of updating our brand name on an existing listing? Any tips on navigating this with minimal disruption to our current sales and reviews would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your help and suggestions!

Best regards,

Mehmet

At the time it was a mistake to list it without brand as "Generic". You could have list it as branded, even without beeing enrolled in Brand Registry.

Now, this listing is a "Generic" listing. You can NOT add a brand name now on that listing. Take a new UPC from GS1 and create a new listing.

Your "several important reasons" are well known to everybody but this doesn't give you the right or the possibility to transform your Generic listing in a branded listing.

It is like this and there is no way around it. AT LEAST that's how it works in the "normal" Amazon catalogue. It would suprise me if for "Handmade" it's different.

Hello there, I think you had mistakenly chosen the 'New Seller Community' vs the 'Handmade Community' where you may have intended to ask this question.

Should you wish to ask this question there, simply navigate to the 'Groups' tab in the above navigation bar and be sure to select the Handmade Community.
