I requested to permanently close my amazon account.

Hello. I have amazon seller professional account. I requested to close my account months ago, but I have not received a notification that my account has been closed for a long time.

Meanwhile, there is no fee left for him to receive from me. There is no such thing as Amazon not losing my account because I owe it to them.

When I open the case again and request to close the account, I see the statement that your inventories must be destroyed. But I had my inventories destroyed. I also received an email from Amazon that my inventory was removed.

Also, when I log into my account, it shows as a restricted account and says it is an invalid payment method. But there is no problem with my credit card. Does this situation have anything to do with my request to close the account?

So I still haven't been able to close my account.

How can I solve this problem? How can I close my account permanently?

You cannot close an account that is not in good standing. If there is an issue with your card, you would need to address that before you can close your account. You also have to wait 90 days after the last transaction.

Hello there! Here is the link on how to permanently close your account. There are a number of steps that need to be taken in order to permanently close your account as alluded to above.

Please find the full list in the above link, but I've pulled some information below for reference.

Steps to take before closing your seller account

If you decide to permanently close your account, follow these steps:

  • Fulfill any outstanding orders.
  • Wait 90 days after your last sale to ensure the A-to-z Guarantee claims period is honored.
  • Wait until you have a zero balance in your account (your next disbursement or charge date).
  • Resolve all of your transactions with buyers, including issuing any necessary refunds.
  • Check your Performance notifications to make sure that all the reasons for your account's suspension have been resolved and your account is restored.
