Do I have to give full refund on return item with damage?
This is not the first time happen to me. Customer ordered handmade wedding wreath, delivered in a 20", 20", 7" box . More than 2 weeks later she requested return, because she ordered it by mistake. I asked her ship it in the original box. She squeezed everything in 12",12" plastic pouch. Some flowers are smashed, and special tear drop tulle fabric got all winkled . I cannot use them again. My question is do I still have to give her full refund? I would appreciate if you can give me an advise.

I believe if the return reason isn’t for reported damage but it arrives back to you damaged then you can refund 50%. But, I could be incorrect. Also, keep in mind the customer may argue that and if a claim is opened they’ll likely win just because they are a customer. I’m afraid a customer that wants to return an item for a refund wants their full money back so I can only imagine an issue arising. Not that it’s fair but many times Amazon will just side with the customer regardless if they are incorrect or not.
