yes I have noticed a big drop actually starting this year since I was caught up in the verification mess from the end of December...I am having gaps of up to 5 days with no sales at all, I get a couple, then it goes dead again. I was getting regular daily sales before now. It's very worrying.

Yes I have had the same usually i get daily sales, but now I go 5 days with no sales at all, then can have quite a few in one day or just one or two a day for a few days then nothing again. They made me change all my listings in January as i had violations ( I just stated that I sold other items and gave a delivery time estimate within the description of my listings) they said that was breaking their rules and I had to alter them or my listings would be taken down. I think they keep trying to change all the rules but don't realise how hard it is to adjust the listings to their criteria, especially for handmade items i find

As bookseller. I see this every year.

Very strong sales January and February, usually better than the run up to Xmas, then UK sales fall off a cliff in March and pick up again in June.

Like most professional booksellers, I'm somewhat insulated from problems with the UK economy as this is a very international trade.

March has been amazing so far, all depends on what you're selling I suppose, use the quiet time to pivot and do more research on better selling items.

Its a difficult market currently given Brexit and the Recession and cost of living.

A lot of houses are seeing a squeeze, if you have to pay an additional few hundred on a mortgage this is going to kill luxury items.

Some catagories will be fine anyway, but a lot including bricks and mortar stores we know personally are seeing a reduction in sales.

The best we can hope for is an interest rate cut and early election to bring some clarity and feel good back to the economy

We sell essential household items. Amazon sales are down 70% this year. Our other platform is up 20% this year.

Constant product removal, fair pricing removals and unnecessary gating have depleted the catalogue and removed low cost sellers making Amazon an expensive place for buyers to shop.

Amazon will only learn from their mistake after most right minded sellers have packed their bags and migrated elsewhere.
