Changing Display Name
I’m a sole trader and just wanted to know if changing the business display name had any affect on your account listings, feedback or having to go back through the verification process?
I’ve been selling on here for about 5 years but feel that the business display name no longer really reflects the products we’re now selling.
Any advice or known issues would be appreciated.

No issues that I’m aware of, have changed/added to my selling name a few times from verification, then reverted back to the original without issue.
It’s only if you change registered details that is likely to trigger a verification, or issues.

When i first registered on Amazon i misspelled my business name then a few days later when i realised i changed it back without any issues at all.

I changed my name and what a nightmare this was, they insisted I get registered with companies house to verify I was in Business, thus I was forced to register as a LIMITED company, whilst my account and my money were on hold.
The whole process took over a month.
My advice to you is before telling Amazon about the name change ensure you have all proof of ID such as HMRC, Utility bills etc all in your new company name, or like me, your account will be suspended (they can legally withhold your money for 90 days).
So please be aware.

As along as you don’t call yourself Amazon Books you will be OK or indeed after any other book shop on here, keeping the same name has it advantages, people see stability of your business, however, if you are having a tough time with spam and con merchants then a change of name can do you a world of good, as long as all your documents relate to your business as they did in the beginning you should be OK.

Display name has no bearing on legal entity name and can be changed to whatever you like. Feedback etc will be unchanged.
Seller performance and the verification team have previously verified this for me.
