Brand name on a product im selling changed
Hi Guys,
I was recently selling an ASIN for about a month with 1 other competitor in the buy box. One day both me and that competitor were kicked of (my units exited 'available' and entered ' stranded inventory'), and a new seller arrived, having the buy box to himself before selling out.
Upon close inspection i saw that the brand in 'Product Information' had changed to a different brand. However, the brand at the top of the page by the buy box remained correct.
I flagged this with seller support suspecting that the brand change was the reason why i got kicked off. They said they cannot change the brand on an existing ASIN and that instead i will have to create a new ASIN, but if the brand cant be changed then how was it changed to its incorrect state?
Anyways i then managed to track down the other competitor that got kicked off with me and they said because it is only the brand under 'Product information' in the 'Technical Details' table where the BSR is given, it is not an issue, and that he will simply relist. He said if the brand at the top of the page changed then it would be an issue but since its only at the bottom its not a problem. He advised everything should be fine. Could somebody concur? Is it still okay if only the brand at the bottom of the page in Technical Details is wrong provided the brand at the top of the page is right?
Regards x
