Amazon Warehousing and Distribution (AWD)

Hello,

I plan on using the Amazon Warehousing and Distribution program for my next batch of inventory. I sell herbal supplements (capsules) which is not perishable but have an expiration date of two years from the manufacturing date.

While my application for AWD has been accepted, I would like to confirm if my product is eligible, given the fact that it has an expiration date.

Thanks for all your help.

Hi @Seller_tHpSzwrozUACi, based on the Expiration dates on FBA products I think it's worth reaching out to AWD/support to explore the use case of these products if they are indeed exactly 2 years from mfg date.

The shelf-life requirements state:

At the time of check-in at Amazon fulfillment center, all products must have a remaining shelf life that allows sufficient time for the product to be consumed in full, plus an additional 90 days. For example, a bottle of supplements with 240 daily servings must have a remaining shelf life of 240 days and an additional 90 days, which makes 330 days.

And more specifically to your situation, the minimum arrival time at the fulfillment center before product expiry for Herbal or mineral supplements is 730 days, so I'm not sure there's a reasonable path for you to have the products in FBA inventory with that requirement.

Hope this helps,
