I'm about to close my store because of Chinese hijackers

We are an American small business and we set out to become an Amazon seller through completely legal means. But Amazon does not support us at all on this path. I currently have 15 sellers on my list. If Amazon cannot find a solution to these hijackers (suspending them seems to be the best solution), I will close my store soon because it is really unreasonable to sell under these conditions. And once businesses like us that are trying to do their job right are shut down, the entire platform will be left to these hijackers. I guess that's what Amazon wants.

We spent thousands of dollars on the listing, the production phase of the product, professionally preparing listing photos, and advertising, but at this point, our listing has been compromised and Amazon is not doing anything.

I want to fight against hijackers in Buybox, I'm lowering my price. Since my product is already FBA, my delivery date is much earlier than hijackers. Despite this, I AM AT THE BOTTOM OF BUYBOX!! Come on Amazon! You can do better than this...

I'm in a similar situation. I designed a plant training clip that I 3D print (patent applied and Brand Registered). I only sell in US and Canada.

A Chinese seller is using my listing to sell a non-functional knock off in European markets. My rating is plummeting because European buyers are getting scammed and leaving one star reviews.

Brand Registry is a dead end outside of the US, and Seller Services is completely ghosting me.

I looked at your listing and store, Your store name is Masstrade, but the item your selling is Akatron,

1st issue, is you are not the brand owner of this listing, anyone is allowed to post on this listing if you are not the brand owner.

2. Im actually curious how you do not have the buy box with FBA at 8.99 over competitor at 6.99 without prime delivery.

3. I feel for you, I am a brand owner but my trademark is in pending status, and had 2 hijackers over night post on my listing, I currently still have the buy box... But i believe it is their tactic to remove competition for their real listings.... So i get to wait roughly 4-5 more months for USPTO to get off their butt, but my listing will probably be dead by then.

Look up doing test buys on the forums. I did one for my listing, reported the item as fake after receiving (because it was), and amazon took the chinese imported products / sellers off the listing. i also started a return and amazon told me to keep the junk that was sent

The same thing is happening with some of my products. We are also a small seller. We design, produce, and sell our products. We are an Amazon Brand Registry seller, and we also have a trademark in the US, but a Chinese seller is hijacking the listings in Canada and winning the buying box.

So, even as an Amazon Brand Registry seller, being able to prove I'm the only producer, having an official Small Business certificate, shipping from FBA...None of those facts are enough to report the Chinese seller who is shipping a counterfeit product directly from China and getting the buying box.

And that is only the beginning: to compete with the Chinese marketplaces, Amazon is recruiting all Chinese sellers to sell in the US, shipping directly from China.

This is what Amazon wants. All Chinese sellers! Might as well call the platform Chinazon!

I feel sorry about what you have experienced. Have you ever thought about doing something Amazon recommended?

To be honest, Amazon US marketplace has millions of active sellers. They are not supposed to care about the individual seller's feeling.

If this is still a profitable platform for you, stay and learn how to survive. That's all other sellers doing now.

Good luck!

I'm about to close my store because of Amazon. Haha. No really. I'll just hang on and hope things ever improve here. Used to be a nice, fun way to make a little extra money, but is no more. Amazon has made sure of that. It doesn't really matter to me if it changes for the better, stays like this, or gets worse. I'll be passed away by then, and even Amazon will. Another haha.

If you own your own brand/trademarks and a new seller, you should stay away from Amazon. Go direct to consumer until you establish a big enough following, capital reserves, brand equity before even thinking about Amazon. Generally speaking 75% of Goods sold on Amazon are by resellers, wholesalers and distributors... not the brands directly. That's why you're loosing! Big brands like Nike, Adidas, etc already sold their item to the distributor... who then resells it on Amazon, so they are protected from the price finagling, etc. And they have a enough brand loyalty that people who want to buy a Nike Shoe aren't going to buy a Voke Shoe from China that rips off the design... see what I mean? P.S. you don't have to be a billion dollar company to have brand loyalty. I see brands that go D2C with a $5 million operation and all they use is social media + Shopify or Woocommerce site. That's it, you don't need Amazon... leave that to the distributors and resellers to duke it out in price wars.
