Pet Products Inactive & Not Accepting Applications to Sell
Hello Sellers & Amazon,
I'm a new seller just starting selling the pet products on Amazon since this year. I've created a pet product listing with 5 variations since January 2025 without any problem. Last Saturday, I updated one of variations' title by only adding some keywords. And then next day, that ASIN got inactive with a "Requires Approval" message.
However, when I went to apply, I met with another message stating:
"We are not accepting applications to sell:
Other Pet Supplies category in Refurbished condition(s)
Other Pet Ingestible Products in New, Used, Refurbished, Collectible condition(s)
Other Pet Supplies category in Collectible condition(s)"
I think this shouldn't happen because all other 4 variations don't have the same problem. I own the brand and trademark, which the Brand Registry has been approved. I'm really confused what made this happened.......
Amazon Seller Support just created a case ID for me and said their internal team will work on it. Today, I tried to follow up with Amazon Seller Support and they just kept forwarding my request to the multiple departments without resolving the issue.
I hope the pet products category community manager from Amazon can help review and expedite my case: 17324589621.
Thanks in advance!

Oh, I am sorry to hear that. We have seen since some weeks that new supplement sellers are no longer accepted. If this is a supplement for pets, you have your answer.

@Glenn_Amazon @Manny_Amazon @Michelle_Amazon Could you take a look and help if possible?

When you made an update to the listing the product got re-indexed to the "other" category, which is Amazon's least favorite category. Work with the catalog team via chat to ensure that particular ASIN is in the correct category, perhaps Pet Toys, for example or whatever category you initially put them in. In my experience, moving it to the correct category has the best chance of reactivation.

Hi there @Seller_Wv9IHiXhvvAru,
I've reviewed your case and your ASIN and at this time it looks like you should be able to list this product. I suspect that the reason it is currently inactive is that it has a start date set in the future. Once we reach the start date, or the start date is updated you should be able to offer product assuming there is inventory available. Please let me know if you have any concerns regarding this ASIN. Thank you for your understanding.

There's definitely something up with amzn. The level os shenanigans has been "Ratcheted up" 100 fold the last 2 months. There's endless reports of items being re-gated, IP complaints out of now where. Chinese accounts hijacking protected US listings. Way worse than the last 6 yrs I've been here. Time to exit stage left asap.
Could be that they let the $4/hr India programmers loose again and the ship is slowly sinking while they lie to wallstreet. Amzn is doing everything it can to push out sellers and keep the golden goose for itself. Def somethin sus goin on. Time to short?
