Certificate of Analysis Testing - need help

Hi

One of my ASIN was flagged for compliance testing.

We have certificate of Analysis testing done by Eurofins Singapore.

Can we ask Eurofins Singapore to do instead of Eurofins USA?

The costs seems very high to be done at Eurofins USA

Also mine is a hair nutrition product. Why is it flagged for compliance when Amazon should be targeting weight loss, sexual, body building supplement etc.

I am asking Eurofins Singapore to check with Eurofins USA

My company is based in Singapore so it is better to do it in Singapore

Please help

Hi @Seller_NaO6W3uWU6Dqv,

In the "Dietary supplements covered by this policy" section of the help page, Amazon includes products with "dietary ingredients" like vitamins, minerals, herbs, amino acids, or other dietary substances. This might explain why hair nutrition products fall under this policy.

Regarding your question about Eurofins Singapore - the policy outlines specific testing requirements under "Our policy for dietary supplements." The key requirements include:

  • Testing for contaminants
  • Verification that products contain the ingredients claimed on the label
  • Compliance with FDA labeling guidelines
  • Manufacturing facility compliance with FDA's Current Good Manufacturing Practice regulations

I'd suggest reaching out to your Eurofins Singapore contact to check if their testing protocols meet these specific requirements for the US marketplace. If they do, you should be able to use their test results. The policy doesn't specify where the testing must be performed - just that it needs to meet the requirements and be done by an approved provider.

One important note: The list of approved testing providers was updated as of April 8, 2024, so you'll want to make sure any testing documentation meets the current requirements.

Hope this helps clarify things! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Best regards, Michael

Hi @Seller_NaO6W3uWU6Dqv,

As @Seller_i6S8knzW6zU6Zadvised, I would recommend reaching out to Eurofins Singapore to see if their testing protocols meet these requirements for the US. As the policy doesn't specify where the testing must be performed, you may be able to use the test if it's done by an approved provider and meets the requirements.

Regarding the category, hair supplements are highly likely to qualify under the Dietary Supplement policy which is why compliance is required.

Regards,

- Manny
