Why are we expected to ship the same day the order is placed?

We just got hit with a multitude of late shipments. For some odd reason, Amazon is expecting us to ship the same day, orders that we got in the late morning. All the orders are standard shipping. Nothing changed in my settings and we have a default 2 day handling time. We always had at least the day after to ship. Did something change on the back end?

Have you checked your default handling time?

Is Automated handling time activated?

Have you allowed automation on any of your templates? Check them to make sure nothing has changed.

You have to be careful. I changed mine to 1 day base on system recommendation and put my account on risk. If you ship daily then you can use this setting but if not change it immediately..

Got this email from Amazon. Dear Seller Your account has been selected to be auto-enrolled in Automated Handling Time (AHT). This change will occur on February 5th with no action required on your behalf. Automated Handling Time will set more accurate Handling Times for each of your Fulfilled by Merchant (FBM) offers. With this upgrade your offers will have a more accurate delivery date, which is normally shorter and more appealing to buyers, typically resulting in more sales. When Automated Handling Time is enabled, your ship-by date will be automatically adjusted for every SKU based on the actual time it has historically taken you to pack and ship confirm orders of that SKU. Your account was selected for this upgrade because your actual Handling Time is 1.7 days faster than what you had configured in your settings. This made your delivery dates unnecessarily long, making your offers seem less appealing to customers.

Worried about your account health?

For the first 90 days after this change, your Late Shipment Rate (LSR) will not be impacted if you have a late shipment because Automated Handling Time set a faster Handling Time than your original configuration. I want no part of this. How do I opt out? Can any one help me with this?

We are having the same issue. Our late shipment rate is up to 8% due this issue, although our handling time is set for 3 days. Orders placed less than an hour are being required to be shipped the same day if we want to avoid late shipment violation. Nothing has changed in our settings either. We have been trying to fix this issue for almost a week. Out of nowhere our handling time is set to zero for most of our listings. We've contacted them but it was a waste of time.

Go here and review your shipping settings.

Change your Order Handling Capacity to some low number..

That number is what your requirement for one day handling will be. When you reach that number, one day is added to the handling time, two days maximum.

Check your emails. Unfortunately Amazon decided to change policy again and auto-enroll us and others that had a good handling times in.

This NEW super-fast whatever they call it gets more customers supposedly buying (no) and your health account getting hits.

We already got hit once and it was because the system didn't accept the tracking numbers on three books. Even tho we proved with an image that our tracking was correct all the dept.'s said that once the health is pinged, you have to wait it out. It will be a defect on your health account.

There is definitely something wrong as all of those orders show a 2-3 day or more shipping window.

So they were placed on the 22nd and when they were not shipped by the 22nd you got a Late Shipment?

That shouldn't happen if the range says, 23, 24, 26, 29th.

Check the "transit time" in your shipping templates. The "late shipping" penalty may apply if the items will not arrive by the "promised time" (which it is very short in your case), even if you ship them in time.

Check the "transit time" in your shipping templates. The "late shipping" penalty may apply if the items will not arrive by the "promised time" (which it is very short in your case), even if you ship them in time.
