Account Deactivated Out Of Random

So, we were receiving orders yesterday as normal. When I finally decided to jump on my PC to check seller central I was greeted with a big red banner across the top stating that my account was deactivated. The crazy thing here is our metrics are phenomenal. The reason that we were given for the deactivation is because we violated the drop shipping rules.

As we explained to Amazon, we have not once ever drop shipped in our life, not outside of Amazon nor through selling stuff on Amazon. 95% of our stuff is FBM and fulfilled by me and the other 5% is fulfilled by Amazon. I feel like they are mixing me up with someone else as we just don't drop ship or care to do so. Now we are here fighting to get our account Activated again as this is hurting our sales big time.

Has anyone experienced this issue before where your account was wrongfully deactivated? I have submitted the appeal but I think this is a joke that I have to fight for my account when I have done absolutely nothing wrong.

When you ship, is your packaging unmarked? Using boxes or other packages with other marketplaces printed on it (such as eBay or WalMart) is a violation of the dropshipping rules.

Hello Gizmo_s_and_Gadgets,

Thank you all for using the Forums!

Also, thank you so much Picks_by_Nisha for anticipating my question.

When you ship, it is important to ensure your packaging is unmarked and does not display any branding or logos from other marketplaces like eBay, Walmart, Home Depot, etc. Using boxes or packages branded with other retailers is a violation of most drop-shipping program rules.

The key is to use plain, unbranded packaging that does not indicate the product is from any specific retailer. This helps maintain the illusion that the product is being shipped directly from your own business, which is a core part of the drop-shipping model.

Some marketplaces, like Amazon, have very strict requirements around the packaging used for drop-shipped items and require the use of plain brown boxes with no external markings.

Ultimately, the goal is to provide an seamless, branded experience for the end customer, so using plain, unmarked packaging is an important step in that process. Violating these rules could result in account suspensions or other penalties from the marketplace.

Visit the page Drop Shipping Policy for more information.

Please let us know if you need further assistance!

Best regards,

-Nikki

I think it's a reasonable rule; but it shouldn't be hidden away under the "Dropshipping" section, as it applies to ALL seller fulfilled orders.

Because Amazon wants us to be professional, and not potentially confuse a customer when they order from Amazon but get a box from WalMart instead.

And???

Frankly, if I ordered something that was SOLD BY Amazon, and received a package from another retailer, I would have complained. If it was sold by a 3P seller, I wouldn't push it, as I have no desire to put them in trouble.

And there is nothing wrong with using packing and moving boxes. They just can't be branded by another retailer.

I think it is because of your packaging carton, what we do is either use an unmarked carton for our packaging or use the one with our logo on it.

It will be very easy for you to appeal, or like a POA, since you never actually dropshipped.

There are companies like Uline that you can buy unmarked plain brown boxes in bulk. It is much more convenient, than shopping around for boxes and they ship fast as well. They have every size you would possibly need. It is an acceptable box to use and complies with Amazon's policies.

I think it is because of your packaging carton, what we do is either use an unmarked carton for our packaging or use the one with our logo on it.

It will be very easy for you to appeal, or like a POA, since you never actually dropshipped.
