Close sole trader Amazon account and re-open Ltd company with partner
Hi,
I have been selling on Amazon as a sole trader casually since November ‘22
My partner now wants to join me and I would like to change to a Ltd company due to this.
I am aware of how to change from sole trader to Ltd company by contacting Amazon before making any changes, however, I would like to start completely from scratch where possible and was wondering if I would be able to close my sole trader selling account and re-open a new one in mine and my partner’s company name, without breaking any Amazon rules and risk deactivation?

I think you can close it down and start afresh however, it would be far easier and potentially safer to transfer the account to the ltd , especially if you wanted to list the same asins
Even if you close down the ST account, your details will be stored and linked to the new account
