VAT refund on amazon fees taking so long
I requested a VAT refund for selling fees which Amazon has overcharged me for over years of selling. This refund will be £1000+.
The PROBLEM is amazon is taking months to calculate and actually send me the refund. Anyone else this happened to?

They took 11 weeks to refund my fees. It does take a while unfortunatly

After a lot of chasing up (which I think may have sped things up). I received a refund this process took 2 - 3 months in total.

Hi, I applied in June for vat on selling fees / fba fees to be refunded. Still in the process and they have had all relevant documents since then too.
I think so many people are applying that they have been inundated.
Worth noting also that i have been getting overcharged for FBA selling fees/ since I started over 10 years ago. Amazon knew they should not be charging vat to sole traders who are not vat registered from where all fee billing in Luxembourgh is charged from yet they have done so to millions of soletraders and got away with it. HMRC will only allow us to file a refund claim for past 4 tax years. So wrong.
