How has Amazon taken control of my new book?

As soon as my book was registered with Nielsen's, it appeared on Amazon for pre-ordering with Prime. I don't use FBA, so how can they do this? I want to sell it myself and put out a blurb with it.

Amazon appear to list everything on Nielsen, whether they can supply it or not.

I don't think you'll get many sales selling it yourself. That's not the way the book trade works. You'd be better off working with the UK wholesaler Gardners (which is probably where Amazon will source it). You'll have to give them discount but you'll get more sales. You can still do the promo. Take a look at Gardners website.
