Acos went from 34% to 100%
Hi, Has anyone else had their main keywords Acos skyrocket? I was getting 34% Acos for the same campaign August-October, and steadily in November it’s tripled. I just spoke with Amazon and they say there’s nothing they can do. I’m just trading money now.

Yep, once the Black Friday week started my ACOS shot up to over 240%. Click-throughs but no sales so I turned off my advertising as a waste of money.

Naturally with the amount of traffic coming in on these dates, you’re going to see a high number of clicks but a lower conversion rate.
Black friday was great for me at an ACOS of 20%.
The key is to do KW research everyday and make sure you’re campaigns are filled with KWs that convert consistently.

I am not sure why it jumped so much for you. I think its may be more to do with category you selling in. In general if your products are not seasonal, cost of advertisement on all platforms during OCT NOV DEC is more than rest of year. Reason is that most brands spend a lot on advertisement and don’t care about return. As a small seller, I try to achieve anywhere between 15-20% max ACOS . I think you better run Auto campaign first and may be bid as higher as you can afford. Get keywords which convert into sales in one month. Then concentrate on high converting keywords. That way may be you can lower the cost plus I think Amazon’s system will reward you with lower costs.

Incase you’re using an auto campaign, there have been a few sellers say some of their item keywords have disappeared.
