Hi amazon are now offering buy shipping service from the Uk to Europe As per their email “Following the introduction of a customs border between UK and EU on 1 January 2021, Selling Partners shipping from the UK to the EU will be required to comply with Amazon policy that all required duties and tariffs are paid prior to delivery to the customer. With this Duties and Taxes Prepaid service, DPD will ensure all goods will be import cleared into the EU with the receiving customer listed as the Importer of Record. The duties and taxes will be handled on your behalf by DPD and subsequently billed back to your account, payable in line with the DPD Terms and Conditions of Carriage.” Does this mean that if you use another courier it would be against amazon policy to expect the vat and duty to be paid by the customer rather than the marketplace seller. Any ideas as there seems to be alot of conflicting information.
