I bet i'm not the only one loosing it with some customers

Customer After 6 - 7 days
I understand that it is out of your hands but I have had to purchase these from elsewhere so I am now out of pocket hence why I am now asking for a refund in full. This one problem will not stop me from purchasing from you in the future

My response

Dear Customer,

As a small but honest seller in ordinary times I would fully refund withought question, but these are not ordinary times!!

As an online seller that can see from customer feedback, I am the first to congratulate Royal Mail I have now had many happy customers receiving parcels up to 10 days later than expected but completely accept I am not at fault.

I have fully refunded!! On the strict understanding that should missing item arrive you keep me informed I am sure royal mail will gladly refund the 65p return postal costs.

Quite frankly you come across as the type of customer that has become accustomed to getting free products taking advantage of the situation, rightly or wrongly I would rather you did not shop with me again but Amazon do not give me that option.

Have a good day

Andy

You didn’t really send that did you? I mean I can understand you wanting to send it, I’ve had a really trying week with customers demanding refunds and leaving negative feedback so I do empathise, but defo would not respond like that even if I might want to.

really feel sorry for so many selller horror stories regarding delivery problems
royal mail have said we can claim off them when 12-14 days have elapsed thats not to say the item will not turn up after then you got the headache if getting them to send it back or buysers keeping quiet and not sending it back at all. i will just have to make the customer understand its not my fault, ask them to wait a few more days maybe 12 days in total if they cant will have to issue a refund if they can then good. if the item is not delivered them will claim from royal mail but will call them on monday to check. so thats what im doing.

Please correct me if this is wrong. When the customer ordered from you and with standard 2 days handling time plus 4 days for delivery then they have only waited 1 day after delivery to request a refund. If they had placed an order with another supplier it would take possibly another 5 days totalling 11 days. On the placement of the order the customer is aware there maybe delays in the delivery due to Covid 19 and they should be more considerate during this pandemic period.

Asking for an extension delivery period is perfectly reasonable request from the seller.

I’ve gotten quite a few of those lately, sometimes they can be truly infuriating.

Any time you feel even slightly grumpy, just abandon responding and come back later once you’ve cooled down. My average response time is 6 hours longer than usual this week

Your not the only one losing it,
Amazon refunded 9 of our customers yesterday for items not received,
all sent with royal mail from the bank holiday weekend,
and all 9 where delivered today,
not one of them have come forward to offer to repay for them.
Nice one Amazon

Bet Amazon seller support was as useful as ever , i have asked them to alter my delivery times and have had 3 copy and paste replies, basically saying that they have expanded them as much as they can , however i noticed some sellers have 3 weeks delivery time - how the hell do they manage that ??

My sympathy is with you mate - we sadly are stuck with these jokers

I assume you will now get bad feedback and do not expect that to be removed.

Personally, I’d not be happy with a Seller calling me a thief - he was not that bad, he did not ask to keep an item for free. I’d have explained that RM are under a lot of pressure and to please return it when received for a full refund and provided him with a returns number and your address (which would have then been at his cost)

How much was the item?

We have had a number of queries, unless over 15 days ago, so genuine and lost, I’d not refund.

Virtually all have messaged back saying when received. and always be nice to the Buyer (unless asking to keep something for free, then still be polite)

Personally, I’d not be happy with a Seller calling me a thief - he was not that bad, he did not ask to keep an item for free. I’d have explained that RM are under a lot of pressure and to please return it when received for a full refund and provided him with a returns number and your address (which would have then been at his cost)
