Invoice Missing?

I’ve just taken a look in my “Your Order” section to look at what sales Amazon FBA have don’t and all of the order statuses which normally show Dispatched/Pending/Shipped etc have turned red with the wording “Invoice Missing” ? All the orders with this red mark against them have already been shipped by Amazon and I’ve had the amount credited to my account.
Any Idea what this might be? They were all ok yesterday.

Could you post a screenshot? Were these orders placed by Business Customers?

In such case you would need to provide them an invoice or a receipt according to the policy:

Isn’t this because of the new upload invoice option announced today?

Amazon expect us to upload invoices within 24 hours of orders for Business Customers.

Same with me, not VAT registered, appearing on every order, opened a case and received the following response:-

“Hello from Amazon Selling Partner Support,
From your email, I understand that you would like to know why amazon suddenly requesting you to send Invoices to Buyers.
Sorry for the previous inconvenience caused in this regard.
I see that in the past, if the buyer requests for Invoice then amazon was automatically providing invoices to them. So you want to know why amazon is now requesting you to send Invoices to Buyers and also implement a option for that.
Please be informed that previously amazon was providing invoices to all the order whether the sellers may be a Non-VCS seller or VCS seller, However, As per our recent update, Automatic invoice sending option was cut down to only VCS enabled seller’s and Non-VCS seller’s now have to provide invoice manually from their end.
In a wide survey, Amazon as found that the seller’s are use buyer seller messaging interface to send invoice to the buyer and using this feature most of the customers are not receiving the invoice.
This is was the main reason why this option was enabled in Manage order’s page. So to improve the experience, Amazon has launch this functionality to allow sellers to upload invoices where they see a new “Upload Invoice” button on their orders page, which will also allow the invoice to be attached directly into the order page.
Once it is done, The buyer will be able to download the Invoice in their Order’s page without any issue.
Note: Kindly be informed that uploading Invoice for all the order as became mandatory whether it is a business order’s or not. So please do upload invoice’s for all the Order’s so that the buyer will be able to download it from their end.

In a word, dreadful, it is now compulsory to upload invoices for all orders if you don’t have a system in place to do it automatically. What a joke.

Is everyone now seeing this? It’s only just appeared in my account a few hours ago and It’s alarming to me as there’s obviously a lot missing as I only produce upon request in the past.

Going forward is there some big changes that makes this a requirement and what is the best way to automate this?

I once requested an invoice from a seller who gave me a link to their rather cool system (paid for service) which you enter you amazon order id and filling your own details and the site will generate the invoice. I’m trying to find the best way to automatically produce these going forward if it’s now a requirement or part of some new metrics we have to fulfill.

Just seen a new heading in the orders menu… Invoice missing… anyone else come across this? As im not VAT registered until the 1st of September I don’t generally send invoices…

Ive just found it on my orders page to my horror and after reading the responses from SS here im horrified! I dont have time to do that for each and every order. I already include packing slip with each order so … im not VAT registered as my sales are not high enough and these aren’t business orders. Its all orders for the last week or two on the list.

Great timing Amazon just before the bank holiday weekend. I will also contact SS tomorrow and see what response i get.
