Provide Valid GTIN's Issue
I have had the email below a fair number of my products are being flagged for removal with the total going up all the time. I have a month to sort out each at risk listing.
There are issues with the manufacturers barcode where it doesn’t match the brand. For example a spiderman bag which is made by ABC has the brand as Marvel and it has been flagged that the EAN doesn’t match the brand.
Now I take it the brand should be ABC…but whoever set up the listing set it as Marvel. I can’t obviously change the brand now…I am not sure I can provide the information below as the product is old and I no longer use the supplier I got it from.
This could cause very big issues for me as most of my items are licensed character products. All my new listings are okay but some of my older ones are probably not compliant.
Anyone else experienced this and know how to go about getting the products removed from the at risk status.
Hello,
We would like to inform you that you have to comply with the listing information described below to maintain your ability to sell certain products.
Why am I receiving this message?
Amazon requires valid Global Trade Item Numbers (GTINs) on all product listings. Catalog quality teams have detected that some of your products are using invalid GTINs, and these are listed on the “Fix Your Products” (https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/fixyourproducts) page. GTINs are considered invalid if they are not GS1 vended or not recognized by the brand owner. You have to take action to address these listings immediately or they will be removed. To learn more, go to the “Product UPCs and GTINs” Help page: https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/gp/help/G200317470.
How do I fix my listings?
To fix the ASINs, go to “Contact us” (https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/cu/contact-us) to submit a letter of authorization or a licensing agreement that includes the following details:
• Name and address of the brand’s rights owner.
• Manufacturer’s name and contact information.
• Seller’s legal business name or seller name that corresponds to your “Account Information” page in Seller Central.
• Seller’s physical address.
• Includes a GS1 certificate. We recommend obtaining your GTINs directly from GS1 (and not from other third parties selling GTIN licenses) to ensure the appropriate information is reflected in the GS1 database. For more information on licensing EANs/UPCs from GS1, refer to the GS1 website (https://www.gs1.org/).
What happens if I do not respond?
Products that are listed in the “At Risk listings” tab on the “Fix Your Products” page will be removed if the requested information as outlined above is not provided by the due date displayed on the “Fix Your Products” page. Products that are listed in the “Inactive listings” tab will remain inactive unless the requested information is provided.
If you believe we have identified your ASIN in error, contact Selling Partner Support: https://sellercentral-europe.amazon.com/help/hub/support/describe.

I’ve had this before with some licensed Star Wars partyware and just ended up deleting them. I still think the brand is Star Wars / Disney / Marvel irrespective of who. its manufactured by but obviously Amazon doesnt. Reading your email makes me think loads of my greetings cards will be disappearing soon
