What does out of policy mean

Never seen the ‘out of policy’ symbol before on a request for return. The customer received the item around 40 days ago. Can someone please clarify?

The return window is 30 days from delivery, so 40 days is “out of policy” and you can, if you wish, happily reject this return request.
[Assuming it’s not something like an electrical item that the buyer is claiming has developed a fault?]
